Exactly four weeks after beating Croatia at Wembley in their opening match England will walk out against Italy on Sunday with an opportunity to win a first major trophy in 55 years. Reaching this stage in itself is dreamland in itself to most supporters but with it so close and being on home soil you would like to think we can take this opportunity. This group of players and coaches have done the nation proud whatever happens here though. Think this will be a really good final, low on goals but a brilliant watch that will be incredibly tight. Penalties anyone? So good... Already has now imo. I know that was then, but it could be again... We'll ****ing smash 'em
Born in '94 so easily the biggest game of my lifetime that is for sure. Cannot express how nervous & excited I am for Sunday. Part of me can't wait but then a small part of me is dreading it because it would hurt so much to fall at the final hurdle. Come on England, make history on sunday!
I just don’t think a final should be decided on pens. Should just finish the comp with joint-winners.
Let's ****ing smash the pasta eating, toga wearing, gondola riding ****s (sorry No7) It's coming home!
To be fair to you all, I have 'pulled the Italian card' over the years when we were ****. From day one I have wanted Italy to do well as my fallback position. The Italian blood in me can't boo the Italian national anthem, but it won't stop me from being behind England 100%. Been through too many years of pain and "oh so many nears" with England to just go "oh well it doesn't matter to me either way". My parents were actually living in Naples when I was conceived and came back here to have me. Made in Italy, born in England. I've never cried after an Italian loss, but I have after an England one - that says it all. To be honest, I shed a small tear of joy on Wednesday night. It is academic anyway as It's coming home.
Couldn't ask for a better final to a competition, after a 55 year wait. England vs Italy at Wembley. And we've beaten Germany to get here. International football doesn't get any bigger than this. It's great to get to a final, still can't really believe it; now let's go there and win the ****ing thing, or get beat trying. Leave it all on the pitch boys. Thank God I'm working on Sunday tbh, and won't get home till about 7.00pm. Got offered a ticket today. £11,000.
Not this year Had a conversation with a guy at work, and we both agreed we’d have thought long and hard about paying a grand.
Yeah I think if I was offered a ticket for up to 1500, I would seriously think about what I could sell
Maybe someone could have a crush on Mark Pougatch? I mean not me obviously. Even though he reminds me of a suited Adonis and I get a little flustered when he's on screen.
