It will be very amusing with all those Liverpool fans watching the team they ridiculed on Thursday nights next season. Pity about the euros though. Roy likes his Liverpool players and the ever mediocre Henderson will be a shoe in. Hopefully Sturridge will not get much game time and therefore it won;t matter he doesn't pass.
Be interesting to see if Roy tells the Liverpool players that inclusion in his squad depends on them playing European football.
Missed all the fun as I was out. Just texting sympathy to scouse friends and trying not to sound smug. Love it
At the same time as saying he will pick players on form. So next season he will be picking half his squad from a team not playing any football in Europe let alone Champion's League, A quarter of the squad from players that have been out injured for ages and a reluctant last quarter from teams that are in European football. The new premise will be "Players of clubs in Europe will not be as fresh as the others who weren't or have come back from injury."
Tbf Liverpool made it to the final...that's an achievement, but it may have cost them enough points to stop them qualifying for next year (shame ). That and dropping points to the Mighty Saints This Liverpool side isn't Klopp's side....expect the night of the long knives at the club.
Yeah, I expect them to be a force next season, which is why I'm taking a long and satisfying bath in this schadenfreude whilst I can!
I know if MU win Sat we go straight thro to EL group stage & if they lose, we have play off just 1x round, I presume? With MU win, do Spam have 2x play off rounds like last year?
Yeah, the early qualifiers. They will love that. It will be interesting playing guess the attendance at that stage.
A decent crowd will turn up just to gawp at the stadium. Apparently there was supposed to be a ladies match held at the old stadium, but it's been cancelled after protests. What the heck was that about? https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/fan-complaints-force-west-ham-161500457.html It was a fund raiser....childish or what.
Now that both Villa and Newcastle are gone, where is the traditional next step for the big club rejects? Going to have to be Sunderland or Everton, I think, for Adam. Or maybe he'll follow Charlie Adam to Stoke.
