Ipswich are owned by a faceless pension fund and have just sold a chunk off to an 'investment fund'. It's like Bradley Dack skating on thin ice ... ... it may look attractive but you never know when it's going to run out of steam and come crashing down.
With the new regulator coming in and ffp now being fairly strictly implemented. Just get a feeling clubs are going to get a bit of a shock this summers transfer window They have been relying on big transfer fees but that didn’t happen in the winter break think we may see a complete collapse in the summer There will be high profile moves but we could be in for a 2002 style collapse At the time we ended up selling Phillips for a fraction of what we could have got a year or so earlier https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2002/jul/13/newsstory.sport going to be an interesting summer
Or the complete collapse could be the PL or regulators regarding any ffp rules once threatened with legal action. If there not happy with the rules, fook off play somewhere else!
Will be interesting to see if the powers that be have the bollox to challenge any of the current big hitters in the PL and then like you say what happens next.
The mess is even bigger than I realised, 'Everton are on life support' apparently ... ... they need £20m a month just to keep going and the 'new owners' are scrambling around trying to find money https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/everton-life-support-777-takeover-3002179
I don't like Everton, and people always say they feel for the fans, ironically I've yet to have a good encounter with 1, but it's still a famous football club, and I'm sticking with my predictions that Everton will be the next state owned takeover. New stadium on the way and probably could be bought for a quid. They won't suffer long in my opinion.
Big game for Chelsea as well if they have any chance of Europe. Their following three games are the Man City semi-final then away to Arsenal and Villa ... ... that could be the end of their season in the space of a week.
Luton v Everton is the killer imo ... ... Luton have more heart and this game will be right up their street.
