Did anyone notice how well or otherwise NKoulou played? He was only on for around 20 minutes, but I didn't really notice him. Perhaps that's a good thing... Just realised that his appearance did coincide with our goal rush though.
I don't know if this meant to be a dig or not but another stat from yesterday on twitter. "Watford's last five Premier League away wins have come under five different managers (Gracia, Sanchez Flores, Pearson, Munoz, Ranieri)"
I think we are still going to continue to be inconsistent this season. I hope for more of yesterday but years of supporting Watford temper my hope.
I see your 'record against Southampton at home isn't great' - and raise you with 'our record against Everton home and away has been abysmal since we first played them in 1982'.
Even watching this Liverpool Man U game makes last week seem not so bad. And it's a weaker Liverpool team if there is such a thing.
Norwich and Everton yesterday and United today, show we are not the only team to put in a dire, pathetic performance this season.
When I think of Southampton at home, I think of a 7-1 scoreline, and was it 5-2 in a cup match back in 2004 I think as well?
Man United made us look good today as we didn't get half a dozen yellows and a red card BUT Liverpool should be prosecuted on humanitarian grounds for being Five nil up after 50 minutes and then just taking the piss for the next 40 minutes teasing Manure with the outside chance of a consolation goal The Samaritans have set up an emergency refuge for Norwich, Everton and Man United fans so they can cry without the entire planet laughing at them
Be a lot of "banter" going on at work places in Liverpool tomorrow! Or as these clubs have fans around the country/world anywhere.
I do feel a lot better about last week's result against Liverpool now, thanks to both of our results this weekend. We're perhaps better than we thought, and Liverpool really are very good.
We are better than we were last week - that's all. Liverpool , good as they were last week and this, were made to look very good by 2 poor teams.
How poor does that make Everton, Atalanta and Atletico Madrid (who are one of the best teams in the Spanish top league) then
I agree, I think we made Liverpool look better than they actually were on the day. I think also as the sands of time pass, we may well let the Liverpool game slip from our memories unless we are relegated, then I think it will be used as a benchmark for everything that we judge wrong for this season.
Certainly some of the goals from Liverpool in both could have been avoided with basic defending . Magure is far too slow for an 80 million defender - no quicker than Cathcart! Whilst Shaw was as bad as Rose the week before . They are just clinical when given the chance and of course like us on Saturday once Liverpool score they find even more confidence and go for the killer .
