(Seriously) Read somewhere that Azza was playing CM at some point today. Well, his knees were in the centre at least.....
Sadly it was marred by BT Sport asking Dim Sherwood his opinion on Holtby, to which he said he couldn't wait to get rid of him...before having to backtrack and admit he didn't sell sell him...and then talking up how he was a good lad and always put in the effort, which begs the question why he said he couldn't wait to get rid of him.
His wages certainly go a long way to answering that question, as he was reportedly earning £60k a week - which made him one of the team's top earners, in spite of him not being a regular starter.
I think, when I started watching Spurs, the players were paid 12 pounds and 10 in the summer.I'm probably wrong....my memory is fast disappearing!......and now 60,000 a week with others in 6 figures. I wonder what Barca and Real players earn.......and do they all own palaces?
I'm playing PES 5 on the PSP, as Spurs. The players in our squad back then were:- Robinson Davenport King Gardner Pamerot Ifil Mendes Sean Davis Lennon Jackson Routledge Davids Brown Robbie Keane Kanoute Defo Mido Why didn't that team achieve more than it did?
Our real squad for that season might have actually been worse: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005–06_Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C._season#First-team_squad How did that side narrowly miss out on a Champions League place due to poisoning and a dodgy goalkeeper?
Yes, looking at the reserves in the squad (on the PES 5), I can see the likes of Ziegler, Edman, and Defendi. No Murphy or Jenas, though.
Maybe it's the 04/05 squad? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004–05_Tottenham_Hotspur_F.C._season Jenas and Murphy joined in the summer of 2005, so that would make sense. PES 5 came out in September of that year on the PSP, though. Slow ****ers.
There's a reason the devs are known as ****onami Actually there's many reasons they're known as that, best summed up with these...
I loved Freddie Found this on YT although not the best quality video My appreciation for him went even higher when he lumped Fabregas in Spain for winding him up. Got sent off for it unfortunately, but imagine there’s a long line of people who would have taken that! And as if we needed another reminder to hate that cheating little cnut!
Former manager Luis Andre de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas is being strongly linked with the Dortmund job.
