That's a step too far. I liked Bannister, but he wasn't a number 10, or in the same league as the rest on the list.
For me ... in order would be.... Bowles Marsh Taarabt Stainrod Eze (a good season in EPL needed) Allen Givens Byrne Man we have had some stylish players.
Taarabt. A sensational player to watch. Was worth the ticket money just to watch him in the warm up. Has pulled himself together a little, but should of gone on to be a great. Completely his own fault that he hasn't. Eze is a fantastically gifted player and has the potential to be a top, top premier league player and to be as good as Adel.
Good list stroller, a lot of number 10’s in there! Dave Thomas would have made my list and if we were talking great players that were not crowd pleasers Gerry Francis and Glenn Roeder would be on it also. The Eze/Taarabt/Marsh/Bowles argument surely has to be looked at in the light of the fact that the first two only performed in the second tier. Marsh has always been the one for me, he made me a Ranger.
Adel was and is the best player I have ever witnessed playing for QPR. If he had the attitude and work rate of Gary Bannister or John Byrne (My two favourite R’s players of all time)...then he could of mastered the footballing world and really been a true footballing legend.
Dont you think that by the time we got Currie he was on the way down? Gave away the penalty if memory serves!
