Match Day Thread FA Cup - Manchester United v Liverpool

Dreading this one, both have strong teams out but our mentality is so poor sometimes.

 

One of those games that could go either way for us, another defeat or we edge it and use the momentum to kick on. Hopefully the latter.

 

Hate this fixture.

For all his wandering around looking disinterested, Rashford had the chance of glory there.

And still ****ed it up.

 

And again, we almost literally hand them back the initiative.

Another deflection but we close **** all down, they're surrounded at a thrown in and still the ball gets through to their player.

 

Pretty good effort by the team. Obviously we are now underdogs against any top side even when playing at home which itself is sad. Never mind what’s happened in the season, if we put in the same effort and passion as we have in this game for the rest of the season, we would be better served.

What an amazing game! We had 11 shots on target! I don't remember the last time I saw that. Just amazing!

 

Exhilarating, pulsating game, an FA Cup classic and we fully deserved it. End to end stuff, the supporters did their bit and all the players and the manager deserve great credit. Proud once again to be United supporter - haven't felt that in a long time.

 

Agree, was excellent.

Liverpool some good spells, but the narrative that they let us win because of how they played is bollocks.

This game helps to demonstrate that the squad is good enough. With the right attitude, passion, and game management, they can compete against the best.

Importantly, we certainly should be scoring more goals than we currently do. Especially at OT.
