One has to wonder what is going on with loan players. By and large in the premier league they were our stand out players. Rose, Evans, Alonso, borini ( crap when we owned him btw ). In the pub league they have all been woeful not helped I suppose by crap managers ( albeit parkinson had no say in any brought in so far ). Or is it getting players from clubs playing proper football and then asking them to play hoofball that is affecting them? Is coton ( or hill ) actually going to watch these players or is it a nod and wink stuff? Given transfer wise we are having to resort to sorting through the equivalent of the bargain and damaged goods bin, we shouldnt expect anything from the jan window.
De Bock thank God, I think you could be done on the trades discription act by calling him a left-back! Shocking!!!
All of the loaned in the premier league had a point to prove and moved from the same level. Think that’s the crux. The loaners here are moving from a higher level and look (imo) like they”think”they’re better than league 1! Also not “youngsters” looking to prove themselves. McNulty’s been ok but not had much chance due to injury
Maybe we could strengthen the back three and keep Hume and O/9 in those wing back roles as they both can play that position and are young enough to improve, if we had better alternatives than Ozzy, Flanners, Lynch, De Bock, Conner et all to play alongside Willis and sort out the those central mid field options, recalling Robson and involving Embleton and Mumba as back up to Dobson, we might start to see a team starting to evolve that can do us proud. OaU
Sounds exactly like a Footie Manager signing. Foreign lad, league above, available on loan, looks on paper like he can play. Turns out to be ****e.
He was all we could get at the last minute having failed to sign anyone better - we only had Hume on the books as LB at the time. Not that we shouldn't have thought of that before we sold James? to Donny of course
