One member of our club said ‘it was like being at a real concert!’

lol I really wasnt trying to open up a "pick on HIAG" can of worms.
Genuinely thought his playing was decent.
Heard many people attempt that solo and butcher it.

Yeah fair play to him for getting out and doing what he enjoys, their stuff isn't my cup of tea and the blue rinse brigade at the conservative club is hardly the adoring pussy throwing themselves at his feet that he claimed. But it's good fun playing in a band, so good for him.

I play it far more accurately, now, Bodi.

I hadn't properly learned it at the time some adorning fan shot and posted that video.

Yeah I saw on the Other guys facebook page there is a video of you guys practising it, sounds better.
Is the drummer on that video the same drummer as in the one I posted here? He seems different

  10. Same bloke.

That's a pretty difficult track to drum and sing (backing) at the same time!

As I said before, that recording was taken at a time when we had only just learned the song. I do wish punters wouldn't make recordings and post them without our consent, but you cannot stop them, or vet the material.

That recording is not representative how we play the track today, about a year and a half later.

Many a band has been picked up by record labels that way though.
Maybe not on that showing, but another recording might be seen by someone.....ya never know.

I was referring specifically to HIAG playing May's Solo in the middle of the song, rather than the entire performance.

    It should sound like this......

The problem any band faces when covering Queen is that they wont have Freddie Mercury as their lead singer :(
Not to downplay the achievements of Deaco, Rodge and Brian, but Mercury was such a unique performer.

Not sure i'd go that far, he only wrote a quarter of their songs.
As far as their live performances go, he was definitely the man though, without question.
