Not at our best first half to many miss placed passes and no urgency. Had a bit of luck too. Docherty - great second half with more drive good passing and an assist KLP - always our best threat in attack and nice goal Magennis - cool finish and showed passion Are we up if we win Tuesday Anyway , well done boys , come on City .
Doc poor in the first half but drove us on in the second Klp beat the full back all game Crowley for the cross alone Defence was the worst I’ve ever seen them collectively and individually
Docherty by a country mile for his 2nd half performance - never stopped running and drove City on. Magennis - showed composure when needed, should have got a second goal. KLP - brave finish for his goal, his running scares defenders in League 1
Doc, his running is going to cause a lot of teams problems, reminds me of Makelele when he went to Chelski. KLP, some good running of his own today, decent crosses & passes second half. If he can get better at that though & controlling the ball, he’s going PL in 2/3 years. Jones, nothing first half, but put his foot in all over the pitch second half. Looks a top notch player. Magennis was outstanding today, at the front & at the back.
Docherty KLP for the match winner Erm Whyte for his threatening runs when he came on The rest a bad day at the office - nerves maybe? I thought Magennis was poor today - offside far too often. He should have been flagged offside for the goal he actually scored.
Docherty - Dominant in second half. Best player on the field KLP - Always dangerous with his speed. Great winning goal. Magennis - Has become a team leader. Good at both ends. First half showed how much we missed Honeyman. But Docherty took charge in second half.
... although he made an imprtant defensive contribution late on. Fair play for that. Doc KLP Jones (or Ingram or Coyle or ...)
1. DOC .. sick of saying this year but this blokes engine was made by Rolls Royce I swear .. second half he came into his own and those driving runs are a thing of beauty 2. KLP .. I'd said just before Magennis scored that if we were to get back into it he would be the one .. and what a brilliant finish .. but his threat was there for all to see .. driving at the full backs who couldn't really contain him .. could and should have had a couple more tbf but he came up with the winner so that'll do for me 3. Magennis .. not for his all round play because it wasn't particular great .. but for the desire .. again I pointed out in the match thread when they took a quick corner and he was the only one awake and managed to get his head on it to clear how he turned on them and gave them a round of fks .. its clear the amount of passion the bloke has and took his goal well but I do wish he would learn the offside rule .. was lucky today with the one he did score cos guess what .. he was offside when it was passed to him. But in the run in ya need senior pro's stepping up and keeping the kids honest .. today I thought he did that. A number of our lads were well off their game today so they need to get back on it for Tuesday and fingers crossed George will be back and fit cos without him we struggle.
Magennis - a leaders performance today. Playing wise - first half was a write off. Second half Docherty. KLP did well also.
Depends on Lincoln (@ Burton) and Blackpool (@ Rochdale) results for us to be guaranteed 1st or 2nd spot.
Docherty KLP Jones. Shocking first half, Honeyman sorely missed shows how good he’s been this season. Hopefully back very soon.
