Off Topic Football Programmes

Charlton v Exeter, 27th August 1921. This was the first game played at The Valley.
If anybody has a copy of this I am very interested in buying.

 

Blimey - does that programme exist?

My understanding is that programmes from the 1920's - particularly the mid & early 1920's - are fantastically rare.
But having said that I'm no expert on the subject.

I'll look into it.
In the meantime, if anybody wants to post scans of Charlton programme covers or inside pages from any era please do.
I can add a 'links' table to this post, giving members easy access to whatever programme scans that are posted, however long this thread gets.

I guess links to external programme sources would also be OK, as long as the sources in question don't mind being linked to.

Note:
I'm not sure if we would encounter any copyright issues (with scans more than links I guess).
I suppose this would be less of a question the further back we care to go.

I think somewhere I have complete scans of the programme from our most well known game ever; the 1947 FA Cup Final.
I'll post them later if I can dig them up.

Goalies in cloth caps and polo-neck sweaters, those were the days.

 

Was never able to reach the top shelf stuff

 

One of the only perks of being a paperboy - brand new and didn’t have to pay to view

 

Back on topic - I will check my mums loft when I’m up there next week as we use to have a suitcase full of old Charlton programmes from the 60’s onwards, but I have a feeling my brother has relocated them to his loft
