When I was having a sort out this afternoon, and a box full of other old sunderland videos and programmes. I can’t believe I’ve kept the scrap books so long
I'd love to pop in, with my son, next time we're up ... ... all those wonderful memories. Edit: just the once!
. Someone has suggested I offer them to the fans museum, I’m not sure they’d be interested but if they were I’d happily give them. I can’t believe how many hours my 14/15 year old self must have spent, every Sunday, cutting out newspaper cuttings (and getting wrong when I cut them out before me mam and dad had read the paper ) and updating scores and the league table. You’d be welcome x
What does the small print say next to Bozo Bakota? Is it something like “the lying bastard never made it on the playing staff”.
I love owt like this.. I might have to have a rake up the loft where I have loads of old memorabilia stored.
Check first, smug, Janey may have moved into her own mansion by then and might have some work for you. Well ok, it’s her little mansion like an Englishman’s home is his castle. I cant wait for the housewarming party, I’m sure there will be an invite
I hope it is a large mansion she's moving into mate. It'll need to be to accommodate all of the people on here who've invited themselves to the housewarming!
This thread made me dig out my Sunderland Centenary book. My Grandad sent it over to me in NZ when it was released. First thing i did was cover it in plastic so it wouldn't get damaged. 41 years later it's still in great nick.
I started a similar collection in the last of the Bank of England days and all the way to our first ever promotion to the old First Division. I was parted from my pains tacking efforts during one of my Mothers random spring cleans. I have recently been dipping in to Pinterest and while I don't understand how it works, I am sure others on here will know more than me, but I recommend it to any one interested in Old Sunderland its well worth a look. Maybe that you could file it on there, you would then be sharing rather than parting with your memories, and it would always be readily available for a browse.
That's brilliant Janey. Plenty of trees for when the w.c's occupied. Hope you've got rid of all the lions!
