Looking for a few more brave posters to sign up for the premier league competition.I'll do all the donkeywork
I used to love going to Brighton races when I was on holiday as a kid with my mum & dad. Went to the greyhounds once as well
The one I will be doing is Arabian king in the 6.35. A new approach colt buy Arabian queen, a filly I tipped at a100/1 for the judmonte I think back in the day that our older posters might remember, by barshiba who wasn’t top class but tough as teak that always produced for me at hq trained by my favourite rogue Ellsworth . What’s not to like?
Racing is pretty rubbish there usually Howver on a sunny is a lovely track sea on one side the downs on the other! Greyhounds is ok Although it is a good we have a track as they seem to be fading away down here but just needs abit more work. A day out at plumpton is my fav (locally anyway)
I also have fond memories of going to Brighton races as part of our family holidays in the 70's, do you remember 'Belper' the one eyed course specialist ?
A little before my time! But we from the sounds of it with the amount of good memories we should have a forum meet up there
Better off going for a one-hour buzz over the Channel in a Tiger Moth? Like someone I knew quite well did many years ago!
I definitely remember one horse with one eye but can't remember its name. I thought it was Look something or other. 1970 was about 20 years late for me. I remember saying to my mum, follow Geoff Lewis and we did OK. I also remember a horse called Dorothea which my mum backed because her name was Dorothy, and it was ridden by Geoff Lewis. Won at 6/1. Some things I remember as clear as anything; not many
Same name as my Mum, Ron, (but better known as 'Dolly') the one who went for a breeze in the two-seater over the Channel! Dad went to the races and they met after the last in town. Don't know whether he won anything or not.
Agreed and funnily enough the outsider monumental man is the only one I'd fear Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
