Ascot off on Saturday too - saves the embarrassment of trying to hype up the 3-runner Clarence House Chase

Angel On High did not replicate his performance at Kempton, unfortunately. We go again.
My selection for today is Steel Bull, in the 6:30 @ Kempton.
Was a smart 2YO, but form has dipped of recent, with runs from huge lay-offs in testing conditions. Recently ran two 1m races at Dundalk, which showed promise, but it was interesting how Michael O' Callaghan had been trying out different headgear combinations.
Cheekpieces remain on for this race, and he drops back to 6f.
Hopefully there will be a bit more luck from this lightly raced horse.
Bet365 offering 12/1, 4 places. Best offer, at time of writing, is Coral at 18/1 paying 4 places.
    Best of luck.

Will it be rearranged??? Cheltenham, next weekend, would be the obvious new date for the race.

Got 3rd. Place money better than no money.
A night of studying the cards with a couple of beers awaits, if there is any racing left to study.

Yep, will move to Cheltenham next Saturday. Although the 'new' version of the Clarence House Chase will be worth a whopping £85k less than the one that had been due to be run today!!!

Huge card at Cheltenham next weekend - 9 races. The usual 7, plus the Clarence House, plus the already rearranged X-Country. Now then how many Mahler's will turn up?!?

All we need now is decent ground and cloud cover. The forecast looks promising <ok>
