Did they had any real influence? The yanks give them a token nod to their existence but that seems about it.
Swansea City can confirm new shares have been issued in the club following a planned equity injection by the majority ownership group. The equity increase, made by Swansea Football LLC, follows previous transfers of capital in July and November of 2023. As part of the approved budget for the 2023-24 season, the club expects additional equity injections in the coming months. Today’s share issuance and those additional funds form part of the investment into the club by chairman Andy Coleman and the majority ownership group. The transaction comes in the form of equity rather than a loan, which avoids burdening the club with debt. These funds support the costs of the playing squad and day-to-day operations. While this move results in other shareholders seeing their ownership percentage diluted, including the Swansea City Supporters’ Trust, it does not affect the Trust’s fully protected and non-dilutable five per cent shareholding in the club, nor their right to a place on the club’s board of directors.
The Yanks hate the fact that the supporters trust has such a large share holding, so they are quietly reducing it with this so-called investment, it is also noteworthy that we have made our largest loss under them £12.5 million, but never forget that in the first few years of our decent from the Premier league the club made sales in excess of £200 Million.....
In a statement, the Trust said: "The Swans Trust can confirm today that a further 130,208 new shares have been issued at a total value of just under £3m following fresh investment into the club. As per our earlier statements earlier this year this is the latest of a series of cash injections which has been made by Swansea Football LLC, the investment vehicle of the majority owners, which includes Chairman Andy Coleman, Jason Levien, Steve Kaplan, and Jake Silverstein. Apparently, more to come next month …. https://www.swanstrust.co.uk/news/t...vHyYUPU9glLlzPds3w_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw
