It’s a multicast on Sky Atlantic at 2am tomorrow morning. Anyone staying up to watch it? Not sure whether to stay awake and watch... set alarm to get up... or get up at 7am and watch before work. Twitter will be In meltdown so deffo need to watch it early doors otherwise it will be plot line spoilers ahoy. Hope the nipple count is higher in this season too.
Or just not go on any social media ever as it's ****ing cancer and watch it whenever you want. It's what I'll be doing.
I've been off social media generally for years and don't know what happens. I watched the first episode last night. Thought it was going to be good tbh. Maybe it picks up.
By the end of series one it is simply epic. But if you're not enjoying after three episodes then just face it, its not your cup of tea.
After it had been on for around 3 series I decided it was probably something I was going to like but I then went and read the books first. That took quite a while to be honest. I then watched the series but stopped at the point at which they were going to overtake the books. I held off for about a year then have accepted that not only are the final 2-3 books hugely delayed there's a definite chance they wont ever actually be finished so now I just watch the show. Would have liked to have read them though, I'm now struggling to remember all the differences and extra characters, unlikely to ever re-read them I suspect.
I'm going to start the books next winter. Fitting. Although if the weather keeps, it will be hard to tell when that is!
Never watched it. Don't think it's for me but I should still give it a go. It looks a bit too much like Lord of the Rings for me which I thought was cack. I've just finished watching Oz, going to start The Sopranos next or maybe The Wire
Series 1 is less fantasy, and more political medieval posturing. By the time you get to know the characters, then it gets more twisted into myth and fantasy.......but surprisingly it fits really well. No big ass dragons till much later on. (even though they are now the poster boys)
Nah will wait until evening. Most people at work won’t stay up either so think will be worse to have watched it but not talk to anyone else about it
The Sopranos and The Wire are two of the best I've ever watched. The Wire kind of loses its way in the last series I felt but for two or three series it was simply stellar. Before Idris Elba was famous and his character Stringer Bell is one of many brilliant characters. Very much a character driven series with a little back story to them all. The Sopranos is just ****ing ridiculously good. I've watched it twice binge watching, and still watch an episode whenever its on. One lucky bastard to have these two to watch.
Looking forward to Thrones tonight but have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be let down by this series. I hope not.
