I think it is time for football throw in laws to be changed. The two feet on the ground law is consistently violated, in fact legal throws are a rarity these days. Both feet behind the line and both hands on the ball should be the only requirements now.
R(w)oy has stepped down as Palace boss. Obviously stepped before being pushed, however following being taken ill at training the other day, I wonder if the 2 are linked, e.g. heart problems. Hopefully this isn't the case or is even as severe, and he makes a full recovery.
A good man and a good manager; just never reached the heights needed to convince the very top level of player.
According to the BBC, Harrison Reid is in line for a call-up to the England squad for the up-coming friendlies. Been playing particularly well this season for Fulham.
Presumably an alternative to the "old head" of Jordan Henderson. Four years his junior and without the baggage. Pleasing for HR whatever.
He's seemingly been 'caught' posting pro-Mick Beale tweets from an anonymous account, which is pretty funny: https://prnt.sc/fPwy_CQwelD3 https://prnt.sc/dM0qB-C6UKVD https://prnt.sc/EHPxYXBoL6IC https://prnt.sc/6DonfVX1fOM2 https://prnt.sc/WlWipauaRS3l
Being reported that Torquay United, currently 18th in the National League South, are having to go into administration, with its owner unable to continue to fund ever-growing losses.
I think if it is a 10 points deduction they will drop to 18th, currently 11th https://torquayunited.com/club-statement-12/
We appear to have parted ways with the Womens Team Manager, with them being 2nd in the league. Anyone know what is going on there? https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/norwich-city-part-company-with-martin-herdman
Seems a little odd, he hasn't been in the job long. Being second when only the team in first gets promoted could be considered underperforming perhaps, but 6 points off the top with 2 games in hand and 9 games to go doesn't exactly seem an impossible mountain.
Quote from the Club web site: " ........following ongoing discussions with the club over the head coach role and its wider responsibilities a decision has been made to make a change at this stage." Given the on-field success this season, it sounds as if it's somehow down to those "wider responsibilities"? Reassuring that Flo Allen appears to have been the driver of this, as you would expect.
What is it with Ten Haag? First he fell out with Jaden Sancho, now it is Marcus Radfords turn to be on the out with him. Not much longer before he is replaced I guess.
Jadon Sancho is prime example of an egotistical prima donna, same behaviour at Dortmund which is why they got shot. As for Rashford, if he put as much effort on the pitch as he does partying, moaning and what he says off it he'd be a great player. Unfortunately, he rates himself too high, goes missing in most matches and has 'issues', let's not forget once he got a new contract he's vanished from the pitch. He needs Roy Keane style hairdryer treatment, or needs to leave, much in the same way as Toddy needed to. There's a lot wrong at MUFC, much stems from a lack of teamwork, too much £££ and mercenaries
