Rumour yesterday that Webber is in talks to take over as sporting director at this weekends opponents Stoke City.
Really? I thought he would have been sought out by someone such as a lower premiership Crystal Palace type club
Whoscored has changed its format. The various leagues are not shown at the top anymore. Why can't people just leave things alone?
Hutber's Law states that "improvement means deterioration", i.e. when a company makes a change it claims to be an improvement, it will invariably turn out to be a deterioration. A local example: some years ago, a flagship Norwich store which I will not name, introduced the use of part-time staff, claiming that it would provide customers with better service by increasing the number of shop assistants available to help, the true intention being to reduce staff costs. The cost-saving aspect of this meant that the part-time staff were ill-trained and therefore unable to provide the needed help! A few years later, the store announced, with much fanfare, that it was dispensing with part-time staff and in consequence customer experience would greatly improve. Whether it did so or not I cannot say, because by that time I'd got so fed up that I closed my account with them.
An American investment company has just made a £105m injection into ITFC. It seems that our local rivals are making a strong bid to get promotion to EPL and to stay there.
Stuart Webber has really made himself unemployable, at least in this country. His assertation that several black players, including our own Rowe, Aarons and Lewis, could have ended up in prison but for football is a total disgrace. Could be now be charged with a racial charge? If not, he should be. Moronic behaviour.
For those out of the loop: Includes some reaction players and their families. Incredibly disappointing comments to say the least.
Thanks DH. He’s turned into an embarrassment to himself and, unfortunately, the club gets caught in it as he’s always referred to as having been at Norwich. I can’t help but wonder if he’s been having some personal problems, because he’s made a series of disappointing/problematic comments and to my mind they’ve been out of sync with his history (unless someone can say he was like that before he came to Norwich too?)
The FA have said they cannot take action as he is not currently employed, which I suppose is right. But what of future employment? Mind you, any club trying to hide him could have a player revolt on their hands. He has likely become unemployable by his crass and stupid actions.
A good statement from the Club has been released: https://www.canaries.co.uk/content/club-statement-march-25-2024
