The difference is that humans volunteer...it's free will. It is possible for a fighter to die if all rules are followed, but in each case it is important to see if rules were broken or if anything can be learned. I prefer amateur boxing where there are fewer rounds.
Actually, there's a compelling argument to be made that there is no such thing as Free Will. It's all programming. Not one of us has had an original thought in our heads. Just saying.
