Looks like that incident in Austria has set a dangerous president. Its all very well being on the limit of what you can do, but when you aim for the limit, that's when accidents start happening. We are going to see a collision with the top drivers in the next few racers, as this new non punishable aggression filters through. It's making the racing really exciting, but I hope we don't start losing drivers because they simply will give nothing to their competitors. Yesterday was an outstanding drive from Charles, but I really didn't appreciate the crowding maneuver that seems to be becoming part of his arsenal, he's better than that. Sometimes to be fair, you have to give the place, and then fight taking it back. For the good of the sport. Same goes for the others driver, well except the meek Botas!
Not sure I agree HR. Drivers have to be right on the edge to be the best and I’m still not sure Charles was that wrong Sunday. He had to move across slightly for the racing line and he was the race leader. It wasn’t a massive jerk to the right. The only thing questionable was if he should have left a car width fully, but then he’s be giving up the racing line and he was the car in front, right at the corner. Close but not bad.
I think he had an incredible drive, but had Lewis not pulled out, then they were both going off. Like I said before, Austria has set a new president. Its exciting, but there will be tears.
Late, but...Bianca Andreescu becomes the first Canadian, man or woman, to win a Grand Slam. Stupid bleeding hurricane made me miss a lot of good sporting events.
You do realise that Hamilton did that while he was still a thoroughly naughty boy. I don't follow F1 and even I know that. I saw this a few months back. [Published on YT in mid-July]:
He reached a Finals but didn't win a title. Believe he and Genie Bouchard comprised the list of Canadians who'd even made it that far.
Look here Schad, you lot stick to dominating your sports like Ice Hockey and Maple Syrup drinking, leaving us to dominate our own sports like Tennis and Football.... ..... oh hang on a minute
Yep. Late to it. He’s grown up an awful lot in the past couple of years (essentially since he’s decided to be an F1 driver again, rather than a ‘celebrity’).
Not sure how true, but it would be an amazing story if true, that Schumacher is conscious. https://apple.news/AJJe7_BcOTKiwj6HDhKfruw
Like everyone I wish the best for Schumacher, but not sure 'being aware' in his circumstances is an altogether happy thing. All comes down to quality of life...not just being alive.
There was an interesting point at the bottom of the article...all the money spent on Schumacher with experimental treatments may have the positive knock on effect of furthering research which will help others.
Fury won by unanimous points decision......got a bad cut in the 3rd, meant to be fighting again in February but that’s in doubt as the experts reckon his cut could take up to 8 months to heal properly.
What a great end to solheim cup...Europe winning by 1 point after needing to win last 2 matches. Missed it as away....last time I looked Europe were losing. Exciting end.
This could have been one hell of an F1 season if not for Mercedes' early-season dominance. Points from Austria on: Hamilton - 97. Leclerc - 85. Verstappen - 85. Bottas - 70.
