Just watching the Athletics. Michael Johnson manages to put his own country's aspirations aside and be expert about GB's and other countries athletes too. He's a damn good pundit. Every once in a while he manages to surprise me. I understand he's almost ignored in the USA, punditry wise. Their loss.
I suspect that Justin Gatlin is almost unheard of in the USA. I wonder how many in the US know the name of the fastest man in the world right now.
This is what kills me sometimes. I'm thinking Michael Johnson and my fingers type Michael Jordan. Do I have another person's hands sewn onto my wrists. Ooer!
Come on England. Cup of tea at the ready, puzzled looking daughter to my left. 'But Dad, this isn't football?' Sometimes the egg chasing needs love too..........
Wonderful victory for Timothy Cheruiyot in the 1500m final, running sub 3.30. I have looked at the times of all the runners and the first 10 ran sub 3.35. Quick times registered by the two Britons as well. It is great to see 1500m running in the ascendancy again after years of very slow laps times reducing the race to a 400m sprint.
Wow! 1 hour 59 minutes and 40 seconds to run the Marathon. It's quicker then to jog up the M1 to Luton on a Friday afternoon than to drive.
