Match Day Thread Getting Back On The Horse Chairboys v Pompey 13th Nov 21

The Chairboys are looking to relight their push for promotion with the visit of Pompey to Adams Park we have an even record against them and have just edged it against them in the last five years and neither team has won a game by more than 2 goals.
Gaz will be expecting to have players back from illness and injury but he will be without Hogan, Kaikai and De Barr who are on international duty and the club declined the option to postpone the game.
I will be at this one along with Blue Slasher and we will be looking to be taking in some liquid refreshment before the game then enjoying a good display from the lads and hoping we can inflict some more pressure on Danny Cowley and maybe climb into the top two

 

Team news

Gareth Ainsworth played a young Chairboys side against Burton in midweek, so the first team squad will be fit and firing to take on Pompey, with no new injury concerns to add to the list.

The only extra absentees will be Sullay Kaikai, Daryl Horgan and Tjay De Barr due to international commitments.

 

Plus McCleary and Freeman i imagine.

 

When is McCleary returning? We don't seem to have any back up for his attacking flare

 

Dominic Gape has a knock so misses out; Garath McCleary has returned to training but is unavailable, alongside long-term absentee Nick Freeman. Daryl Horgan, Sullay Kaikai and Tjay De Barr are on international duty.

I don't what is going on with greeny's team but they are going great guns.

 

In the end 19 shots five on target & one of those was a penalty, missing the penalty let Pompey into the game, typical Wycombe though win 8 on the trot now lose two on the trot at home

 

The difference with Greeny's lot 9 shots 7 on target 3 goals, Accrington were even worse than us 18 shots 2 on target 1 goal at least they did get one

 

We play Plymouth away week Tuesday
