Those maps are a bit deceptive Ron. That yellow dot you're looking at isn't indicative of the size of the fires. That spot is twice the size of Brisbane which has a area of about 1,600 square ks. The sunshine Coast fires were mostly in the Northern suburbs of the Coast.

The red spots are the severe fires.
