Mind, if the players are saying they want out because Neil's gone then that's poor from them too.

 

Where’s this coming from?

 

There is a story going round that when this broke the senior players went to speak man to sort it and he was having none of it (on a power trip) and it’s ****ed them all off coz he wouldnt even try

 

Little breakdown of what’s happened this morning regarding Alex Neil & his apparent move to Stoke.

Neil pulled the players in this morning and explained he was leaving, said he doesn’t want to go but Speakman doesn’t value him & although they’ve recruited that he hasn’t had a say in much regarding transfers and his suggestions haven’t been backed up. Told them Stoke have offered him a long term contract and more money.

Senior players have then seeked out Speakman & asked what is going on & expressed their desire for Neil to say, Speakman hasn’t entertained them and basically shunned their opinions.

Off the back of this there’s more than a handful of players extremely upset and want away.

This is from a source inside the camp. I’ll be shot down no doubt and people will call bullshit etc but that’s the supposed way it’s went about this morning.

Then Neil as manager shouldn't be moaning about the management above to the players. Very unprofessional

 

Neil has played his part as well. Gone to Stoke ffs, what a complete crock of **** of a move that is for him. He'll be getting paid a wedge though.

He's walked away from the biggest club he'll ever manage.

 

So we are still the basket case we used to be.
They’d better get a top coach in quickly.
And Speakman out.

 

If that’s true and he’s jumped to a smaller club the minute he didn’t get his own way then what does that say about the bloke? I would have expected him to fight and prove he was worth a better deal.

On the other hand, again if this is true, then Speakman has a lot to answer for. Fair enough on the transfers as that’s how we work but don’t see any reason why we couldn’t offer the bloke better job security. The one manager we have had in a bloody long time who seemed to fit our club and we don’t even come to some sort of compromise.

I just hope they remember who is paying them, who they represent and that they understand what part Neil has played in this ****s trick
