I'm doing the same principle but just with countries. Taking weekends away. I've just booked Ypres on 10th November coming back on the 12th November. Determined to watch "The Last Post." Aim to do one a month, which last months Barcelona was cracking, especially seeing Camp Nou before they rebuild it. This month probably Lisbon. Bit stuck on October.
I've got tickets to a Bundesliga game in April 2018.... I'm excited about that, as going to drink **** loads of beer.
German football is great, as near to our stuff as you'll get. The culture is very similar to ours but they manage to make the football very affordable, unlike in the premier league. What game are you doing?
I used to travel home and awsy with Dartford Fc so I caught a lot of interesting grounds, as well as some real duff ones. The early stages of the cup were always fun, and took us to some nice away games. Haywards Heath, Hoddesdon, Addlestone and Weybridge and Lewes all stand out in the memory, though the one I always wanted, Malvern Town, never got paired in the draw. Some other highlights were Alvechurch, Witney Town and Hastings Utd, plus a long slog to Plymouth to face Saltash. Happy days.
Not a well known team... Only Borussia Dorntmund vs VfB Stuttgart, in the Big Yellow Wall. I kid, going to be f******* mental atmosphere.
Nice one, I have done a few over there but they were in the 90's before ground redevelopment. I went to the Cologne v Monchengladbach in '94, going to the game I did not realise this was the big derby and was a sell-out. I went to the ticket office and explained my situation, and amazingly enough the lady gave me a ticket and would not take any money!
Spelthorne Sports v Walton and Hersham today. There was a double header, Southwick @ 11 and Shoreham @ 15.00 but decided on Spelthorne for 11.30 so my beloved gets to see more of me today.
What a marvellously considerate husband you are Elfs. Will you be sharing your copy of Trainspotters Gazette with Mrs Elfs on your way to the game ?
