Speaking of unrivalled greatness, we are actually on the cusp of Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary. It was late August 1968 when they first jammed together in that basement on Gerrard street.
It's funny how I don't really like the music that you lot are talking about but I like chatting about music. On our board we have a music thread and I used to chat a lot with a guy on there called Dave, he loved listening to anything new and hated most of what I posted but ever now and then he'd love something, he passed away a few years back and I miss those chats, he once said to me "you just like noise, any kind of noise" and he's right, I love that music is now so crazy and that there are so many different types of music out there, there's good in every genre if you look (or listen) hard enough. I don't go on the thread often now as it makes me a bit sad that he's no longer there to chat to.
I remember Foredeckdave, one of the few people on here I genuinely disliked. RIP though. Some people will listen to any old ****. When I was a kid, people used to listen to drum and bass and hardcore....utter ****.
He'd rub people up the wrong way often, @Chief fell out with him but decided to bury the hatchet over a pint and they were both good after that.
Back from Singapore and visiting Ginge next week. He plays a guitar like a cripple but then God loves a trier.
Interesting bit of guitar playing in thst song. Santana starts off in the regular minor pentatonic and then switches to a little used scale called harmonic minor. It’s how he gets that Latino sound.
