Wasn't it you who claimed Spurs were the best because you picked an arbitrary period of time in which to calculate points totals and deemed that over 2 seasons (in which Spurs won **** all in either season), Spurs had accrued more points than anyone else. Apologies if that was someone else.
If you bothered to read the full posts I said that Spurs were clearly not the best in either season but as an indicator of future performance the points over a longer period might be useful.
I don't see the logic there in the slightest. Why would the team with a two season average of 78.0pts (Spurs) be a better indicator of future performance than the team with the previous season tally of 93pts (Chelsea)? Why would including older data be a better indicator of future performance than not including older data?! Or why not use the team with the highest three season average of 76.7pts (Chelsea)? Or the team with the highest season four season average of 78.0pts (Chelsea)? Picking two seasons as an arbitrary number of seasons is not useful in the slightest as an 'indicator of future performance'. It's laughable and biased in the extreme because it's the only indicator you have that puts the team you support at the top of something. Two season average: Spurs Arsenal City Chelsea Liverpool United Three season average: Chelsea City Arsenal Spurs United Liverpool Four season average: Chelsea City Arsenal Spurs Liverpool United
Yep I agree Which is why I didn't make any specific claims about it. What is clearly true is that the more matches you go back then the less luck matters. However this is countered by the fact that the further you go back the less relevant the data is as squads change. It would be a miracle if the 38 matches last season happened to be the best indicator though.
If there wasnt any examples of why that picture is the net of defeat, hiagy has given the perfect example of why it is named as such
I have to admit that of all the nicknames you lads have come up with, I prefer "the HIAGster" the best.
Forrest is my favourite. On account of you making so many dumb **** ups and then doing a runner when you've been rumbled
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...n-real-madrid-manchester-united-a8012466.html Some of you have been foolish enough to continue a wum that is dead in the water. Kane will not be leaving Spurs. Not any time soon. Not ever. How do I know that? Above, I have posted a link the Independent's web page, and to an interview conducted with the Hurra. Please, foolish wums, do yourselves a massive favour by reading it, digesting it, and then moving on to something less tiresome. Cheers.
