    He'll play a few games in Europe and be cover for first team in PL. If we fail to get Dawson or another main CB he maybe the central figure in a 3-5-2.

    Yeah, one of my best mates is a Blade and he reckons he'd be a squad player in the Championship based on current ability, but he has a lot of potential.


    He says he needs to work on his positioning and his spacial awareness because his severe lack of pace means he's often caught out.

    When we were first linked, Bruce said it was a development squad signing, but at £2-3m you'd expect him to at least make the squad for cup games.

    Bruce has a knack of developing good centre backs. Probably down to the fact he he was a dam good centre back himself.

    I'd definitely be a bit nervous going into the season with another experience centre back.

    Hopefully he will put in a transfer request.

    They are pricing him out of the market in a PR stunt to show they aren't a small club who will have their pants pulled down by any club making bids and win the approval of the fans.

    In the meantime they are denying a young talented football a chance to go the Premiership and Europe who has already public stated he wants to leave with a read between the lines comment of (come and get me Hull City).

    Fair enough they don't have to sell and we will have to meet their unrealistic valuation if we want him. But he is unproven at this level and only has a year left on his contact and also has mixed reviews from his own fans.

    He will especially when the COC games start up. Not too mention the thursday(EL) / sunday(PL) cycle of games..(hopefully).

    It must be getting close to the point were we wait 12 months and potentially get him for nothing! If he's going to be on the fringes for the next season all seems to make sense to me. Equally Sheff Utd don't have to do anything for now as there's 6 weeks left in this transfer window so they can sit tight for a while yet

    For the 4 mill they want we could buy Gonzalez from LA. Would be a better and cheaper option, not as young though so not as much future potential. Still prices are going crazy if you have to pay 4 mill for a League 1 defender.
