I’ve been trying to view articles on their terrible website, it asked me to enter my email address otherwise it just blanked out the article, so - under sufferance - I entered it, the article then became clear. The very next article I attempted to view it did exactly the same again ffs. Is anyone else suffering the same issues? Is there any way around it? Asking for a friend.
Did the same with me, I put my email addy in and it said it wasn't correct. How the hell would they know
HDM is only readable with ad blockers & video blockers on your browser. I don't sign in/register either. I use Firefox and ublock plugin - I've just pulled up the HDM and it's reporting 21 blocked requests (i.e. 27%) on the front page. In comparison, BBC sports has 4 (3%).
Seems the policy of the HDM website is to lead with a RL story every day. Transfer stories concerning clubs with no connection to Hull involving players no one has heard of, articles about past games and all sorts of inconsequential rubbish then they finally get to the local football team actually having a game. You aren’t missing anything.
I don't have a problem with it (except for the content...) on my laptop. I use Chrome with an adblocker. Is this a problem affecting phone users specifically?
Yer I had the same issue today, just entered [email protected] and it said thanks etc and let me then see the article as normal It really is a bottom feeder of a rag these days!
I use Safari on an iPad with an adblocker, and still can’t view the site without constantly entering my email address and subscribing. Well they can get ****ed, I’ll just use newsnow for my City news.
Use an iPad with DuckDuckGo browser. Have no problems, other than as a previous poster said, the content when you access it.
I do check the online HDM a fair bit. Must admit - I think it's a nasty piece of work by and large and inept in serving the communities/city/county.
Don't know why it has to cater for the 'free burger' type of reader. There always were and always will be various strata or readers: why only cater for only a few of them?
Never bother with it. I get all my news from this forum I know exactly who has died, where to go for central heating or shoe repairs, who is available for work, what’s going on at City and the relative populations of all metropolitan areas when compared to Norwich..............no need for HDM anymore
Norwich doesn’t have a metropolitan area. Neither does Hull. So you can’t compare metropolitan areas involving them. You can use one dot or three. Any other number is meaningless.
Used to be able to get in without logging in but can't now. I used [email protected] and i'm in, its rubbish though.
Exactly the same, I only look at their site through my phone so downloaded the free adblocker from the play store and that did the trick.
