I'm not even going to open it in truth. Vital football puts up the same article every other week with different wording. I don't think he genuinely believes the crap he writes.
I had a look at ITTV yesterday, first time for ages, same old same old, except that Paul May has a thread saying that Michael Tucker is one and the same person as Grumpy Addick, a long-time poster on CL who is anti-Roland. Reams is prepared to bet £100 that he is right. This would put Tucker's anti-fans drivel in a different light.
You beat me to it by 20 seconds FHB. I can't for the life of me imagine why someone anti-Roland would waste their time writing the bilge that 'Michael Tucker' churns out. Described as hard hitting and factual by some on ITTV, and derided by everyone else, it's hard to imagine this as a parody account, but Reams seems very certain.
I'm not sure who is more irritating and embarrassing - CARD or the morons on ITTV/Malcolm Tucker/Sue Perks etc.
I guarantee that when we get taken over, the likelihood being Charlton Life would be supportive, then ITTV would say the exact opposite.
This stuff is just feeble Pro-Duchatelet propaganda. It is a parody, but not an intentional one. The style is a caricature of the same patronising way the current regime expresses itself; a nauseating blend of trite condescension, insincerity and bland denial of reality. Charlton fans are not fundamentally different from fans of other Clubs. If Duchatelet had bought any other EFL Club and then done the same things to them that he's done to Charlton, the reaction of their fans would have been the same. Indeed I daresay we have been more tolerant than some other fans would have been. And (for the millionth time) the current ownership and the Club itself are NOT one and the same thing. Opposing the owner and his regime and wanting them gone does not mean you don't love your Club anymore and you want it to fail. It means you love your Club enough to care what happens to it. "Can the Valley ever recover?" Absolute drivel. In terms of attendance and fans really getting behind the team, it would recover in less than one season if Duchatelet would just go away.
That's an odds on cert. When CP achieved Promotion from L1, it always got the "we should never had been there in the first place", the fact that reams hasn't applied the same reasoning for this regime is purely down to the fact that RD is hated by certain individuals, groups, and many fans from other forums.
That's not how I would describe you's The amateur from Welling, Alfie Plant is on the leaderboard in The Open .
Talking of arseholes - Nigel Williamson apparently piped up again last night, going at someone's alcohol and drug abuse. Oooooooh, Nigel. What have you done. Don't imagine he'll be welcome back at the valley anytime soon.
His online persona will catch up to his real life self at some point. You can't go around being reckless with subjects like that.
his scores of comparing our 2011 squad to this one is forum gold. By his reckoning - in a league that is worse off than 2011, this team will storm the league with over 101 points. Tell him I'll bet him a grand on this. Genuine offer.
