R.I.P to the 39. i did question the intention for this thread, that comment has made me even more suspicious.
You put it up at 10.00a.m most of the posters aren't around then to have created a thread. Here's last year's one by the way - http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/213843-28-years-on-Heysel-remembered RIP - 39

"It marks the 29th year since the tragedy at Heysel Stadium. It is a day when all of those connected with Liverpool Football Club pay their respects to those who lost their lives at the disaster at that stadium. "Our thoughts go to all those that were impacted on that day." http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/163716-29-years-on-heysel-remembered
For the record, I can see how this thread can be seen as point scoring but the gesture is still right and there isn't much I can do to alter the way it appears.
please log in to view this image It gets a permanent mention at our ground and on our club website and there is a service every year for the 39.
True, though statements from the website like "The fact that fatalities might result wouldn't have occurred to the Liverpool fans when they ran across." and the fact that todays article only mentions "the collapse of a wall" as the reason are a little distasteful in my eyes. The football hooliganism that caused it (which of course wasn't restricted to liverpool i hasten to add) should be remembered as much as the casualty list IMO. Still, RIP the 39.
