So, have you ever watched crime watch for example? They have a slot in every programme in which the show photographs of many suspects of criminal activity, if its good enough for your run of the mill everyday suspected criminal its good enough for those in the article.
well i suppose that is true, the police are looking for people who have been seen on video in relation to a crime. I don't know thats the same thing as naming 23 people or groups who have files in the SPS as that might be prejudicial... not that we don't know who they are like.... In this case if every i is dotted and t crossed to make sure these people have no out in appealing that they can't get a fair trial... well i hope thats what it is.
Since this is national news, naming the suspects would make it pretty difficult to prosecute them because everyone has an opinion on Hillsborough already. Having said that, other famous criminals were named and shamed beforehand. For example... Ched Evans and Adam Johnson! If prefer they get the job done before making announcements tbh
I'd prefer they make sure these guys are ****ed before making announcements. They'll get what's coming to them in time...
I phucking hope so mate! The sooner these bastards are convicted the better. Justice for the 96 is long overdue.
I bet when the names come out it will not be the senior ones. They will through a couple of middle management types to the wolves. Expect a couple of Inspectors from the Police side, and a few section leaders from the council.
Although it wouldn't surprise me, I doubt it. They know they'd be a massive backlash and it's not worth the hassle
Finally - Liverpool FC has banned The S*n journalists from its grounds over the newspaper's coverage of the Hillsborough disaster. The paper has been widely boycotted in the city and the ban follows a campaign by the Total Eclipse of The S*n group. Its journalists will no longer be allowed on site to cover matches and press conferences. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-38933817
Just said on the PL board, I'm pretty sure they were banned before but I could be wrong. If they were, who the **** decided to let them back?
An excellent decision to ban The Scum reporters. It shows newspapers that they are accountable for their actions. They are a self regulated body that are out of control. Well done Liverpool FC.
Trouble is they are only accountable to a certain degree. People in power and the rich basically have been abusing the system for far too long. This circus the media is just one small element of the corruption in society. It's a ****ing start, but long road ahead sadly.
Andy Burnham introduces 'Hillsborough Law' bill to parliament. The Hillsborough Law, or the Public Authority (Accountability) Bill, would make it illegal for those in public service to give misleading information. The bill also contains penalties and fines for those who are wilfully non-compliant. The Labour MP said it "empowers victims to secure disclosure of crucial information and prevent public authorities from lying to them or hiding the truth". It also makes it an offence for such a line to be pedalled to the media, he added. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-39431359
I heard about that earlier jb. Don't know how to post links using a phone though lol. Cheers for posting it.
