Sorry just re-read my post which isn't very clear. I don't think we'll play on 15th for the foreseeable as I said but the confusing bit was about WBA - What I meant was had they played anybody on 15th they may have had a Hillsborough 'minute' but as it wasn't the actual day they paid their respects to their own instead.

Oh i don't even contribute to this thread but i saw the rafa video and was about to paste it. Seems like someone beat me to it. Rafa is a top class when it comes to these gestures.
Bettison should face an additional charge of perverting the course of justice by publishing his book relating to his part in the "manslaughter" of the 96 by talking/lying about his role in the aftermath while the inquests were still progress.
The full list of individuals facing charges are: Mr Duckenfield faces manslaughter by gross negligence of 95 men, women and children. Sir Norman faces four charges of misconduct in a public office relating to alleged lies he told in the aftermath about the culpability of fans Graham Mackrell, former Sheffield Wednesday Club Secretary, will be accused of breaching Health and Safety and Safety at Sports Ground legislation Peter Metcalf, who was a solicitor acting for SYP, is charged with perverting the course of Justice, relating to changes to witness statements Former Ch Supt Donald Denton is accused of perverting the course of justice Former Det Ch Insp Alan Foster is charged with perverting the course of justice
Treading carefully because of the sub-judice stuff, here's my take on it. If Duckenfield had owned up in the first place immediately we would probably never had been here. That said, I've always thought that the bigger crime was the cover-up, not the initial mess. On that score, I am disappointed that Bernard Ingham hasn't been roped in - he railed against the Taylor Report and ensured that the inquest wouldn't be so open and fair. remember, it was he who turned up with Peter Wright on the still mangled and twisted terraces on the Monday morning after the disaster and said it was clear that it had been caused by 'A tanked up, ticketless mob'. I hope we get to whom it was that stole the CCTV tapes - the first action of perverting the course of justice. I hope we find out when SYP high command knew that the gates had not been smashed down, and why they still sat on that story until the BBC falsified it. Mostly though, I hope we find out that who it was (all of them) decided on the outrageous, knowingly false slur on the fans to propagated after they realised they had been caught with their pants down re the gates story. I suspect that, as he's dead, Peter Wright will cop (no pun intended) for all of the latter, leaving Duckenfield as the main villain. Thing is, in my mind, he's not - he ****ed up and it caused a tragedy. This shows how important and responsible his role was, and how it should be subject to absolute scrutiny. The fact that SYP's first reaction was to defend him (and thus themselves) when they damned well knew what had happened makes you believe that Duckenfield would never have been allow to admit his **** up. And this cover-up went right to the heart of government, and it's still as scandal that those primarily guilty have been allowed to die before facing justice.
