Nathan Jones appointed acting manager of Brighton after Hyypia's resignation. Jones is immensely ambitious. If you read his psot-match reviews after his many successes with our under-21s they were all subtly, and sometimes unsubtly, self-promoting. He left us to join his old mate at Brighton as assistant manager. When the new guy came in, he didn't replace Jones with own man (as is usual) but kept him on. Then when Hyypia took over, the same thing happened. I cannot see it happening a third time, but maybe Jones will step up as permanent Brighton manager.
He's had very mixed reviews down there from forum posts I've read. I think they will go in search of a name to appease the fans.
I don't think Nathan Jones has got any chance of becoming Brighton Manager. The two favourites are Tony Pullis and Tim Sherwood.
Arter and K*******t both score against Millwall. At least our ex-players can do it. All it needs now is for Francis to complete the hat-trick.
On the other hand, Jonjo has been publicly slated by his manager for being "lazy". Jonjo must be gutted to see this type of headline, and I wonder how he'll react? When I read this sort of thing I wonder whether it is a sign that the manager might be starting to "lose the dressing room" as they say. The same happened recently with Bob and TBH.
A4L- Missing your excellent match thread. I don't want to impinge, especially since I couldn't match the quality of your previews, but it's nice to put the world (or at least the Charlton team) to rights the day before the match!
I see Kermorgant missed a penalty for Bournemouth today. I hope he did his silly Leicester thing so the Cherries freeze him out and let him go on a free. Even then RD would not sign him. Wrong French accent.
Congo won their first game at an Africa Cup of Nations finals since 1974, beating Gabon to move top of Group A. Charlton Athletic's Frederic Bulot ,,, wasted Gabon's best chance, missing an open goal midway through the second half. Sounds about right.
He got the winner in injury time for them to beat UAE and top the group. Is in the play alot, getting involved.
But could he do it on a Tuesday night in Rotherham? Saw Cahills goal - typical him! Good to see him still going strong. And then think ''what if?''
