There are more serious matters. At the fans' forum meeting there were complaints that the East Stand keeps running out of Bovril, which Katrien promised to address. Thank goodness I sit in the NW. Oh, and Katrien didn't lie, so that's alright then.
Those notes have gone viral. A chelsea supporting mate stumbled across them too and had a good laugh at our expense. I couldn't defend it. Those notes are cringe. My favourite bit was razil holding on to the results of those polls - the anticipation is killing me!
The club is a shambles at the moment. The Chief Exec has lied to the Fans, we have bought in a Coach that nobody wants just because he was already on the payroll. We have won three games since September and the players morale is rock bottom. We are in desperate need of at least four good Championship players and we sign a Spurs player of 19 who has played 3 games in our division. But let us get our priorities right the Bovril keeps running out in the East Stand. I don't think that they need to bother with that, because the East Stand will be empty next Season in the First Division. If I didn't know better I would think that Meire and Duchatelet are running our Club down on purpose. The level of incompetence is staggering.
Yes Cahill ended up with both, a bicycle kick and a classic header. As for Reza, hehe i dont know, it seems the country brings out the best in you, he just scored a few minutes ago to make it 3-3 in extra time versus Iraq, came on as a sub. This game Iran V Iraq is a great game, if you can bag a replay, i recommend it.
As football in England gets more European, we seem to have adopted the European approach to cup competitions too, that they are very secondary to the main program. Up to the seventies, clubs could expect their biggest gates of the season in the FA Cup. I remember being one of 45,000 at the Valley against Fulham when both teams were in the old Div 2 and our normal gate was about 25,000. And in those days there was no League Cup.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer man: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Yeah i see that unfolding, some of the coaches of teams even say it i interviews as well, about priority's etc. 45K at the valley for a cup match ?
Yes, attendances have fallen away a bit since the F.A. Cup 5th Round, 12th February 1938 Charlton Athletic 1 Aston Villa 1 Att: 75,031
mmmm, can't lie.... no. Just happy they looked 'together' as a team and a few youngsters stepped up in the tournament and looked impressive. I am trying to stay up for the Charlton match, 1:15am right now, coffee ??
Great stuff. OK, they had home advantage for the tournament and final, but they had gruelling program in qualifying with some tough away matches so they deserve their reward. For most of my life they have been in the Oceanic Federation where they were more or less guaranteed a good chance of reaching the World Cup Finals. This justifies their switch to Asia.
Yes cheers mate, gives some credence to their efforts. M Luongo (with Swindon) looks a great prospect, we should pick him up at CAFC. Shelvey smashed a 25yd goal for swansea this morning, anyone see that, it was scintillating.
Interesting article. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-30699020 I have to agree with the final quote: "A lot of us who would like to get the old days back, what we really want is our youth back."
