Unfortunately I think that's his side mate.. I'm hoping he's got something else up his sleeve, but I think that's the side and the subs he'll use unless we get injuries. Do you think he might do something else?
No idea really, I think we could beat someone like Germany or Spain because they're not that good now, and everyone would think Southgates a hero. But we'd lose to France Italy Portugal Belgium etc
I honestly thought we were bad, but everything I heard coming out the TV was telling me it was like watching prime Barcelona. I'm left questioning my own sanity. I was bored out my brains
I think I'm a bit too long in the tooth to predict England lifting the trophy. Having won today, I'd be surprised if we don't get through the group, after that it's anyone's guess. The team will evolve, horses for courses depending on the opponents, but, I think we have a good enough squad to beat anyone in a one off match. Other countries won't exactly be looking forward to playing us, given the potential of how we could play. Southgate will need to make the big calls and not be afraid to make changes, or indeed keep the same starting XI. I wouldn't have picked that team today in a month of Sunday's, but, who can argue about Philips inclusion now. Defence is the worry for me, but, going gung-ho isn't the answer as it would leave the midfield open for the opponents to tear us apart. Honest answer on far we can go, who knows, but I've learnt after all these years to savour the good days.
