On the assumption that none of the current top seven clubs in League One manage to win all their remaining games, how many points do you think it will take to ensure automatic promotion? Will it be settled before the final match of the season, or more likely will the fans of the contending clubs for automatic promotion be nervously tuned into pocket radios to hear the news from other matches. Will there be roars of crowd approval as rumours spread wildly amongst the fans and either unbridled delight or a sense of forboding, to greet the final whistle on 7th May 2011? What do you think, how will it play out?
Know what you mean FMLC, personally I think we're going to be in the usaual Saints roller coaster ride from now and May 4, just hang on tight 'cause here we go COYR
I'd say that of our remaining 36 points we're going to need at least 26 to be in with a shout, even though teams like Huddersfield and Peterborough still have to play each other...
I really, really hate to say this but I have a horrible feeling you will win 9 of the remaining 12 games , drawing at Charlton, and losing at Orient and Brighton by an odd goal. See you next season( I can not believe I just said that).
Well if you don't make it you will only have yourselves to blame, because its only there to be lost now,no wait a minute you can always blame Adkins and give him the boot replacing him for a big name' manager like Martin O 'Neill ! Actually, I thought I saw him in Chiquitos at Port Solent the other evening!
Well if these rich russians that are being touted ever turn up with some money, maybe he will pick the blue half of Hampshire.
SB3 WAKE UP! WAKE UP!! You're having a nightmare mate, you were mumbling in your sleep again, something on the lines of.. "See you next season...." On a serious note, thats a pretty fair prediction of how the results might pan out
Hope we do see Pompey next season for 2 reasons. One, we've been promoted; two, bournemouth can't go on pretending to be our local derby.
I think we will probably need at least 85 points overall, possibly 87 or 88 so 27 points from 36 I would say
I think Saints will finish with 89 ponts and in second place. Udders and Posh have to play each other in 3 weeks or so, something has to give. Udders have 3 relatively easy matches next but 3 consecutively difficult ones after those which will give Posh and Saints the chance to pull back whatever gap has been created. I still see this going to the last game of the season but Saints snatching it. Time to wake myself up from this nightmare scenario!
Ssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............ Singing Blue 3 is having nice dreams about Saints!!!! Think he might be turning into Singing Red 3!!! COYR
SB3, you have taken that first step! Renounce the dark side Luke, use the force. Turn your back on the darkness SB3, turn to the light. You know you want to, just one more step. Just repeat these words " when I was just a little boy I asked my mother what should I be... well you know the rest.
