Indeed, also I see Lewis-Potter is playing, I thought he might have got a run out with the first team tomorrow.
5-0 down and down to 10 men after Lupano got sent off for what Watford's twitter described as a 'horrible' tackle.
I'm sure you're right, I was thinking more the young guy for the last 30 minutes, just give him some experience against a league side.
I was just thinking the same, being on the end of a 5-0 drubbing hardly a good experience for the lad.
Had a look at this earlier, Watford had some experienced players like Proedl and Zeegelaar playing, versus a relatively depleted City U23 team - so 5-0 probably sounds worse than reality.
I take it most of the U23s are now in the first team, maybe the next crop aren't as good as the last ones?
Most of them are from u18's, and the step up to U23's is very difficult. It may be a season or two before the mature enough to compete at this level.
Really excited with Greaves, Fleming and Potter. The one thing the cluster **** approach the Allams have brought is opportunites for youth.
Seems like Greaves did well, in a testing match https://www.gloucestershirelive.co....s/hull-city-bristol-rovers-cheltenham-3208743
