It was busy on Sunday when i was in. Not a lot of chattering going on. I think most where like me thinking " what the ****"
Has anyone NOT spotted Martin Green out and about this year? He's ubiquitous! Although I wasn't impressed when I saw him chuck his tab end in the road while waiting to cross Castle Street. Mucky bugger.
I was I the town today for the first time in a few weeks... don't get the metal monstrosities outside the Trinity... the band at the top of Whitefriargate were excellent...
He was stood in front of me at the Ziggy Stardust gig at City Hall, fair made me queasy with his cavorting with his pal, a bit OTT considering his standing in the community.
I was disappointed with those things in Trinity Square thought they could have had some decent lighting on them really.
Came across this petition for saving the BHS mosaic/mural and the Fish inside: https://www.change.org/p/https-hist...-building-murals-deserve-their-safety-assured
Not sure if it's officially Culture, but have got a couple of tickets for Fighting Talk Live from City Hall on the 18th this month.
We were at the Ken Dodd concert at the New Theatre last night, pure unadulterated genius. One slack **** (from this very site) turned up after the show started and came to the attention of Doddy. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I’m blaming our lass, she kicked off on Friday, because we were 1.5 hours early for the Black Grape gig at Branny Centre, so she insisted Ken Dood wouldn’t go on at 7, women always think they are right don’t they? We were on the from row an all, I was pointing at our lass and shrugging when Ken spotted us.
But everyone (apart from Mrs Rico obviously) knows Ken Dodd starts early and finishes about 5 hours later if he gets the chance!
Anyone that spends one and a half hours plus in 'Branny Centre' deserves derision of the highest order! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Last night I went to see the Last Testament of Lillian Bilocca. Excellent production that took the play around several rooms inside the Guildhall and was a very emotional evening bringing a few tears to many including myself. Absolutely brilliant and a story that needed to be told.
I have to say, seeing him on TV and seeing him live is a total different experience. I have seen him a couple of times and both him and Bob Monkhouse are the best stand up comedians I have ever seen.
It's the land of green ginger unleashed parade tonight. Looks like it should be an entertaining mass participation event. Which if I had one criticism, I don't think there's been enough of. Been told by one of the blue jackets that there will be a lot of action around the wooden crates. There's been one outside the courts for a few days. Passed it this morning and there was green smoke billowing from it with a film crew in attendance...FYI
Ffs I'm round there for a piss up this afternoon. I'm hoping to wallow in misery don't watnhappy ****ers round me.
