**** happens, nothing to see here, move on! So, we may have got a bit lucky with first goal, you make your own luck, we deserved it, been at wrong end of luck enough times. Very enjoyable game, best seen this season, could/should have been 4 or 5, nil. My pre game worry about Deeney, shouldn’t have bothered. Thought Greaves played best game of season, first to every ball, outstanding. Longman was brilliant, and whilst I thought Ingram is very unfortunate to be dropped, Baxter was brilliant, very vocal, and agile, confident hands. Great save with his feet, great distribution. I thought Wilks looked a bit lazy and uninterested, then he pops up with a goal! Baxter was arrogantly confident when taking/handing the missiles back to Brum supporters. Had that being AMcg they would have been wearing them! Great to have that good Saturday feeling back again. Now, Strictly unavailable.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t slate him when we have a poor run of results then ignore it when we have two wins in a row. It’s called perspective.
No no no you said he’s been unlucky He hasn’t been unlucky He’s obstinate obtuse and downright pig headed and its cost him his job
Look at his Championship record in full. The relegation catastrophe and this season. He’s just been incredibly ****, simple as. Any other club would have sacked him long before now.
I’m not disagreeing with that. I’m not even defending his tenure as manager. I’m simply saying that slagging him off when we’ve just won two matches says more about the div slagging him off than McCann himself.
On the flip side you could look at his record when he's had a squad that's capable of competing in the league it's in... His first half season with us when he had a strong team he was knocking on the play offs door and then in L1 he won it comfortably. He was stitched up by the allams ( broken promises re Bowen and kameil cash ) and senior players in the second half of the champ season. Then this season he's hardly got a great experienced squad to work with. But he hasn't helped himself with the constant 4231/433 set up etc. But he's really not as bad as some make him out to be and Im confident the will prove it in the years to come ( if he learns from mistakes ) A new start is and will happen for all
I suspect most remain irritated that he only plays our best formation when injuries leave him with no other option. Still, we’ll done to him for back to back wins regardless.
Think this is a fair assessment. It's also no surprise that since we've got Honeyman up to speed we've magically started winning games. He's our most important player and our best by a country mile.
I liked how Magennis didnt go down and roll around when he was slightly head butted it wasn't too vicious but the ref treated it as he should
I think people are perfectly entitled to have an opinion on Grant, it may not match your seemingly strange opinion. But there’s no need to refer to them as a ‘div’ either.
