    Thursday 2/7/20 5pm kick off
    Same team Same subs.
But when we are winning and hanging on you don’t keep bringing forwards and midfielders on Terry, you shore it up and bring on big Taff and go five at the back!!! Not rocket science. We’d be breathing a lot easier now if he’d done that against Brum! Not a guarantee but certainly the professional thing to do and playing the percentages.
Right boys let’s hammer Colin’s lot.
    City 2-1

We've got until midnight tonight to sort a permanent deal, or he goes back.

So yes, he's gone back to Barnsley.

Neil Warnock will require no introductions when he leads his Middlesbrough side to the KCOM Stadium on Thursday night.

The 71-year-old can almost boast 1,500 games as a manager and 19 of those have been up against Hull City.

Since first facing the Tigers in 1990 when in charge of Notts County, Warnock has plotted City’s downfall with Huddersfield, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, QPR, Leeds, Rotherham and Cardiff across three decades.

Warnock was at the KCOM Stadium as recently as last September when City were pegged back to draw 2-2 with Cardiff in injury time, but the stakes will be much higher when he leads Middlesbrough down to East Yorkshire.

Success, in truth, has been limited for Warnock at the KCOM. He led Cardiff to a vital victory in 2018 to help set up promotion to the Premier League but won none of the previous five.

City routed his Rotherham United side 5-1 on the final day of the 2015-16 season and also cruised past Leeds United with Warnock at the helm in 2012. A 2-1 win over Crystal Palace to keep automatic promotion hopes alive in 2008 was another sweet victory.

It is, in fact, honours even between City and Warnock down the years, with both enjoying seven wins apiece. Adding to that tally on Thursday would be an almighty boost for the Tigers.

I thought he had his first good game on Saturday and if Samuelsen's still out, I'd far rather have him than Bowler.

Yes and no, he doesn't seem to be a fully rounded player, and some things he does leave a lot to be desired, but, he has scored some goals and from a pure numbers perspective a 4th wing option is needed, esp if Samuelson is out. Bowler is jenk.

Can’t Magennis play on the wing? We might by default see Magennis and Eaves start.

He brought Taff on and went 5 at the back against Swansea after we went ahead for the 3rd time. We were soon 4-3 down. I thought at the time it just seemed like a desperate move from a manager rolling the dice trying to find something that worked without any real confidence in it.

I think our defending is just a bit ****. He needs to get on top of that no matter what formation we play.

I've been wondering too. Have liked all of his brief appearances as he looks more skilled and energised than those who are regularly selected ahead of him.

Well one day we have to win on sky... Plus absolutely everyone bar a couple on here have given up any sort of hope and already have us down. I won't go down that route till it's mathematically impossible to survive

This game won't be won on the field...it will be won on the sidelines. And there we are clearly overmatched.. An inexperienced tactical incompetent vs a 30-year tactical master. 2-0 to Boro and we are heading for certain relegation. No chance of signing Sadler. I presume Wilks will be back to Barnsley also. Just hope Samuelsen gets a start.
