I can't see anything else but a Lancashire shafting. The City midfield will be over run. A big reality check.

Interesting. Didn't Reading get 6 points deducted, about this time last year, for something similar?

Would still leave them 7 points clear of second though.

The River Brun, in Burnley is Britain's shortest river.

Burnley Miners' Social Club sells more Benedictine than any other hostelry in Britain. Burnley buys roughly one in every three bottles sold in the UK.

Burnley has a singing ringing tree.

The straight mile, in Burnley is considered one of the 7 wonders of the British water way system.

Burnley are one of only three teams to have won all four divisional titles, The other two are:
    Wolves and Preston.

Only Preston have occupied the same ground for longer than Burnley, who moved into Turf Moor in 1883.

Burnley the claret-and-blue strip in 1910, in homage to Aston Villa.

Burnley's 30-match unbeaten run in 1921 stood as the longest stretch without defeat in league history until Arsenal bettered it – managing a whole season without loss – in 2003-04.

Burnley have won every major competition in English football except the League Cup.

In the 1921 season Burnley had made their worst start ever to a season. Of course they were beaten during that record league run losing to a certain Hull City 3-0 in the FA Cup.

This didn’t start as a football stadium but is the second oldest stadium in the football league having being built in 1877 as an athletics stadium and then used for rugby union. That only came up because of this incident, A good reason for FC relocating to avoid us making a similar slip upl<laugh>

For whom? I don't think anyone in their right mind has City down as the better side.

    6-0 City.

I'd take a good performance with a bit of attacking threat.

We should have the players available now to cause anyone in this league some problems.

I fancy us in every game now. We’ve got a tight, functional defence and a striker with a habit of the ball bouncing off him and into the net. Keep it tight at the back and we don’t even need to create a proper chance to nick it.

They should be stripped of promotion...deducted enough points to put them 7th. If they are allowed promotion it just shows everything that is wrong with football.

    Too harsh.

Punish them on the pitch I say.

They should have to play their next game blindfolded

There's rules and there's penalties for breaching those rules, the penalty in this case has been applied and will remain in place until the matter is resolved, it's the same for all clubs.

The club that should be most worried about rule breaches is Wigan, they could face a six point deduction on Thursday and that would probably secure their relegation.

A really tough game, I would be happy with a draw, but with a bit of luck and if we can get the first goal, then not out of the question we can take all 3 points.

It's going to be a tiring night up at 2.30 am, watch the game, then get into a car and drive 3 hours to the border with Cambodia, into Cambodia and then back into Vietnam with a new visa then drive 3 hours back home. A win or at least a draw would make it much more of a pleasant trip.
