its cold its wet and QPR are windy. Early goal and it's a stroll in West Park. Fiver on City to win 4-1. Fiver on City to win 4-0. Take it away Dutch.
Wet, cold, miserable weather No realistic chance of promotion or relegation Low turnout from home fans Very low turnout from away fans ...it’ll be a cracker and we’ll win 5-2
Jarrod Bowen (back and shoulder) and Jordy De Wijs (illness) are doubts for Hull, who are aiming to avoid a third successive defeat when they host QPR. Captain Markus Henriksen starts a two-match ban after reaching 10 cautions. QPR defender Grant Hall is available to return after a one-match ban, but striker Matt Smith (ankle) is a doubt. Geoff Cameron could return from three months out with an ankle injury, and Angel Rangel (thigh) is expected back after the international break. Rangers have won just once in 13 league games, losing nine times in that run, but are seven points above the relegation zone. Match facts Hull City have not won three consecutive league matches against QPR since October 1963. QPR are winless in 10 league visits to Hull (D4 L6) since a 2-1 win in February 1970 with goals from Rodney Marsh and Frank Clarke. Hull forward Jarrod Bowen has been involved in four goals in three Championship appearances against QPR (3 goals, 1 assist). Queens Park Rangers have won fewer points than any other Championship team during 2019, picking up just five in their 12 games (W1 D2 L9). Hull haven't lost three consecutive Championship matches since November 2017 under Leonid Slutsky. QPR have won none of their last 49 away Championship games when conceding first (D10 L39). A goal from Rodney Marsh eh. Bit of a hero of mine. Along with Sir Stanley Bowles. Sadly suffering with Alzheimer's now is Stan. His autobiography is well worth a read.
An early goal is the order of the day as QPR have won none of their last 49 away Championship games when conceding first (D10 L39).
Need to get back to winning ways, losing two or three of our better players is disappointing, however where back at home, low turnout but hopefully a win is what we need and what we will get.
I remember that Marsh goal. Came about 5 seconds after someone near me on South Stand had just said that Marsh was an over rated, useless, fancy Dan ****. Someone I know was on a course for a coaching badge at Lilleshall years ago. This was back in the days of Charles Hall and his bollox about POMO. Younger readers can get an idea what that was like as Dolan was an adherent of them. Rodney Marsh was there at one session. They showed a video of Brazil passing the ball about then cut to one of Wimbledon where the goalie booted the ball down the field, one bounce, a header on and they scored. Marsh said he hoped they weren't going to say what he thought they would. The presenter said that those clips showed what more effective football produced. Marsh stood up and told the rest of the people there that he was lucky, they had to sit and listen to this crap, he didn't, and out he walked.
Would be useful if Matt Smith is injured. The sort of very tall striker who we seem to have problems with. Turned the game when he came on at their place last season.
No, the club put a message out on social media a day or two ago saying there was still tickets left for the game. Yes, I was shocked too.
Seems odd to leave both Lichaj and Kane out and therefore presumably have to play Burke at right back. Looks like Mackenzie and Ridgewell at centre back which hasn't exactly been a great success so far.
Why are Lichaj and Kane on the bench and Burke who has been solid in the middle of back four playing fullback, it does'nt make much sense.
