This is such a hard watch. We are so uninspiring. But for a **** piece of keeping it'd be 0 0, we are so ****ing passive when they have possession.
Ok sort of performance so far and happy that we have gone in 1 up, but only two shots at goal and one corner tells it's own story. Need a lot more going forward to make sure we dont drop points again at home.
I thought they were playing for 0-0 but they haven't really changed since we scored. McShane , Osho and their keeper have had twice as many touches as the rest of their team put together
City continue to look lethargic at home - they look dangerous when they pick the pace up but spend too much time passing either backwards or across the pitch and giving the opposition defence time to re-group.
Given how inspirational McCann is, I am worried about the impact of his half-time speech. We were slow and pedantic in that first half, apart from one piece of skill from Wilkes and poor goalkeeping we were poor. As others have said, we need to up the tempo, press them and cause them to make errors and give the ball away. Play with freedom, show what they are capable of.
We're standing off a bit when they come forward, I can see them nicking a goal. We need to up the ante a bit and get an early goal.
Whatever you do Grant, don't put a marker on McShane because that would stop him getting so much of the ball.
The problem is, at the moment, yet another team has come to our place, played defensively, and we just can not break them down. We're lucky Wilks had a decent strike against a dodgy keeper.
we're sitting much too deep - we're giving them too much space - we're letting them come at us and when we get the ball we **** about at the back or hoof it up and let them get the ball back again and so on and so on - -- we really need to start pushing forward or groundhog day will happen all over again
Precisely this. We are inviting pressure by letting them get out easily. Only takes a mistake or a bit of luck and they're back at 1 all. I am so ****ing bored watching McCann's Hull City play, it's joyless, soul destroying and I'm genuinely tempted to do some work emails because i'm that ****ing bored.
