Bring in Jones (if fit) Honeyman, Hudds & Tyler and revert to a back 3.
I expect to lose I just hope we score a goal

First off, good shout with the suggested team. I too would be happy to see that, or something close to that given a go. But no chance of course.

Secondly, given the debate on the other thread, in that video clip we see the total opposite of what we have with McCann. I admit, I thought it was time for Bruce to move on in the end, it seemed clear he had hit some sort of brick wall, but he was a great manager for us. He openly admitted his mistakes, he had the courage and nous to change things (maybe some times too much in desparation for that needed goal), helped create a feel good, etc etc ... everything McCann can't.

Seems to be a view around the board that we'll get hammered in this one, not so sure myself. I know they're ex-PL but they're only a point above us and we can be better than we've seen so far. If we can get this 'no goals' monkey off our backs we might see a decent game. At this stage a point and a goal or 2 would suit me.

Can’t see us getting a win, tbh scoring a goal would be an achievement

I loved Steve Bruce and on the day he left the missus had to physically stop me from driving to the stadium and shoving my season ticket back through the letter box, but, Brucey spent over £80m at City, McCann hasn't spent a fraction of that. So I think it's unfair to draw comparisons.
Remember too that Steve Bruce was also the subject of abuse at City and some of our fans wanting him sacked.
Personally I thought it was a sad day for the club when he left.

Agree about Bruce, on it being sad he left and also the amount of money he had to spend.

Obviously I would normally be pessimistic and vote for a loss on the poll.

    But it's them...so I can't

I'm still pessimistic, but let's hope we batter them

Agreed Brucey had a huge war chest to spend, but he delivered a return on investment. I don’t know the exact figure but I bet when you factor in the player sales from the era, the net spend would be zero or maybe even a profit

I was livid when I heard the news and I honestly wanted to tell them to shove my pass where the sun doesn't shine. But I slept on it, counted to ten, and decided it was something I couldn't do.

I rejoiced when the fat **** ****ed off.

I don’t care about the success he brought with him, he is a ****ing bellend and he and Eham were a match made in hell. No wonder they clashed. Proper pair of ****s.

Have I got this right. You want Docherty left wing and Emmanuel right. And all our wingers on the bench?

If McCann did that there'd be absolute uproar.

Klp isn’t a winger for one thing and they’re not playing as wingers it’s 4-4-1-1
Ideally we’d have a left sided midfield player but we don’t
