It was originally about the 2 clubs in England not named after places. There a few in Scotland. Hibernian, Heart of Midlothian, Queen OfThe South…The now defunct Third Lanark…
Tbh. Not sure about tomorrow night. There's even talk, but it was on talk TV, about this coming weekends fixtures being postponed ie Swansea away.
Stopped a night in Dumfries on the way to Troon. Your right it's like say Hedon, but the pubs stayed open to midnight. Something new in the early 90s.
I can understand next weeks games being cancelled due to policing problems in the lead up to the Queen’s funeral. There wouldn’t have been last weekend which makes the decision to cancel all football when other sports went ahead seem even more an incorrect decision. I would say the games tomorrow will go ahead, SKY have just advertised their televised midweek Championship games.
Let's hope tomorrow's fixtures are confirmed to be going ahead by the EFL, but so far, from what I read on the BBC football page that's still not forthcoming.
Hull live as informed and good as ever, their latest headline.. .EFL confirm Hulls trip TO Stoke will go ahead. They really are a useless sack of ****. First our Trip to Blackpool was off on sat now our trip to Stoke is on. How can they constantly get such simple things wrong
Only knew about that as I stopped off in Nailsworth, very attractive place, a few years back when driving around when I was on holiday in the Cotswolds. Saw a Forest Green poster and looked them up. Never made a connection before that. Been in existence for 15 years longer than us. Only club to get the final of the FA Vase and FA Trophy. Also reached the EFL Trophy Final, a trio of finals unlikely to be replicated.
