what about Navas and Walcott today - both worse than Hudd - but no red - if the played for small club both would have been off
Oh I totally agree with you, I did mention it in a previous post. The original comment was about our away form though and I don't think we've been as bad as people are making out, we have just been short of a little luck, which you do need in football, and this hasn't been helped by a few bad decisions at the big teams grounds.
With Thud I think there was also element of an inexperienced Prem ref feeling pressure to send someone off for the first time. And it was not going to be an Everton player.
It seems to me that refs don't like to book continually dirty teams or players as MotD dicks would be complaining that the ref didn't let the play flow and blaming him rather than the perpetual cynical fouling. Pulis teams, Everton and Costa are prime examples of this unofficial rule, they play the player rather than the ball and the ref lets half of them go as it would mean him blowing his whistle every 30secs if they followed the letter of the law. It's why costa, who should've been red carded 3 or 4 times this season

Saturdays win was our seventh of the season - a check of IT's table says, no team with only 6 wins in a season stayed up.
