Yeah he takes ages to hit form as well. Seems to get injured then return and needs 7-8 games before he starts performing.
Looks like Maguire dived for that free-kick. Conned the ref. Are the whole Hull team ****ers? Seems like it.
Iwobi is so strong on the ball. If he works on his defensive duties and improves his finishing, this guy has potential to be an absolutely excellent player.
I'm sure I read that Wenger had mentioned that - that he was making more runs up field now. To me, it doesn't really make sense, his strengths are his positioning, his tackling and interceptions/reading of the game and his strength. His weaknesses are his passing range (in comparison to the rest of the midfield) and his attacking ability/shooting (apparently he's never scored for us!). He should be sitting in front of the defence with Santi next to him for simple passes once Coq's recovered possession. But if you want a box-to-box next to Santi then surely you'd play Xhaka (who Wenger said he see's as a box-to-box player) or Ramsey when he's fit. You'd also need to figure out a way to protect the back four, which is getting exposed this season...
I was going to say we should give minutes to Lucas or Giroud...and now this. Typical Arsenal. Probably bringing on Gibbs to CLOSE the game.
Everything about this pisses me off. This is the third game this Season he has played as a Box to Box midfielder. I often say Wenger just does the same thing over and over again and expects different results. When Alex Song first broke into the side (2007-8?) his first Season he played the Makelele role. It was his best Season for Arsenal. The next year he suddenly started getting forward and playing as more an orthodox midfield role. It didn't work as well as it left us open at the back. However Wenger continued with it for another 3 Seasons or so. The same thing is happening with Coquelin and it doesn't make any sense. If we are just going to play two CM's and no DM. Xhaka would be a much better option, he's a better passer of the ball.
