Hull City AFC I love this club. Why? because I'm from hull. It's my team. So...... We change our name! We're now Hull Tigers. I love this club. Why? Because I'm from hull. It's my team. If the owner bought the stadium and called it the Allam Marine Arena, would you care? Having read the views about supporters for and against its obvious that those that oppose the name change think they support the club more than any other city fan. To the point they'll not even consider the argument. Those who want the name change are being called glory fans who only watch premier league football. I'm 31. I've watched city play since I was 6. 1989 was my first game. But all hear from ex Man U and Liverpool fans is "I was at boothferry park", so was I. I loved Kenny Dalglish and Alan shearer and my parents had sky and I watched the premier league since it's first whistle. Just because my dad took me 3 times a season all those years ago doesn't mean I can say, I was there, when we were locked out blah blah ****ing blah. I was. I did put my hand in my pocket. Only because my dad put the penny's in my hand. Now all those that boo'd tonight are being called traitors because they're going against the club. What a load of ****. If Mr Allam didn't come in, then we might have gone bust. If we had, what name do you think we'd have picked to start as a new club? Hull Tigers would be flying high! And we'd all be grateful
If Mr Pearson hadn't come in the first time, we WOULD have gone bust. Did he change the name to "gain more revenue"... no. Understand your argument, but I was there during the hard times of the early noughties in the piss poor Boothferry Park West Stand with seats that were half broken - it irritates me to see people jeer each other for their views.
Sorry but people like you are the biggest threat to this club right now. We can resist Allam and he'll **** off in time, but if people are gonna start supporting it we're ****ed.
Why does it have to be an argument? I'm just expressing an open view without opinion Apart from the fact that I support the football team from hull.
I like hull city because my dad took me to see them. I now support them. I also really liked Opel fruits. Now I like starburst.
you have the same regard for a packet of sweets as you have for your football team? that says it all. it really does. are you going to tell us what this argument is that you want us to consider? is it just straightforward faustian appeasement or is there more to it?
You don't have an argument in favour of the name change, do you? You'd just rather bend over and take it from Allam, so long as you get your weekly dose of Premier League football.
I watch 11 vs 11 on the pitch at my home town .. I don't care about history or tradition .. its 90 minutes of football ... that's it ...if you think more than that then you have life issues .. not football issues tbh
Comparing a football club to a make of sweets? Is that the best argument really? Hull Tigers isn't our name yet.
there are people who go because they love the club and its history. if it's just a game of football to you, save some money and something cheaper. who are you to tell people where they should have their emotional ties? you're just a bystander and as such your opinion is worthless.
