……previous to my fury at the club being confiscated - by the devious never to be trusted British government - from Abramovich I now see the light with Boehley and Potter. In personally seeing Chelsea get the 1-0 victory over Palace from the Westview on Sunday - with the new Ukrainian signing displayed at half time and Felix being signed - I’m impressed.
Boehly stepping down as Recruitment General is the best thing he could do, and finally we have a couple of people with some football nous brought in to work with off the pitch issues. Boehly is now concentrating on rebuilding the Bridge, and he may prove to be really good at that. Potter I'm still not convinced of, but he has to stay until at least Xmas 2023. That is time to have his player selections in and his discards out, and have a 4 or 5 months to settle his team in and get it running smoothly. If he can't do that , then he will still be the first Chelsea manager to have been given the time !! Good luck to him, and let's hope the win will help turn things around a bit more.
…..I must also mention that the Vialli tribute was amazing on Sunday. It’s like Chelsea FC is back to being Chelsea FC after all the upheaval.
I’ve said as much from day one mate, I just don’t throw all the toys out the pram for something small or inconsequential. We will end up spending close to a billion this year and will be challenging from day one of the new season.
